Ijaz Butt is still on drugs

I have to hand it to the man. He is giving Lalit Modi a run for his money as the King of Propaganda. After taking zero responsibility for the PCB’s failure to provide adequate security for the touring Sri Lanka team, Butt launched an attack on Chris Broad for calling a spade a spade. Butt wanted Broad to be suspended by the ICC for telling the world what an embarrassment Pakistan’s police force is. Instead, Butt should have been apologizing to Broad and everyone else who became a victim this week for the embarrassing failures Pakistan is responsible for as hosts.

Now Butt is claiming that international teams will begin touring Pakistan again in six to nine months.

Try six to nine years.

By Butt’s estimates, he is extremely confident that not only will Australia tour for their proposed test series in 2010 instead of scheduling it to take place at neutral venues in England, but Pakistan will remain joint hosts of the 2011 World Cup. Good luck with that, especially since your best friend at the board table, India, no longer wants to have anything to do with you!
